‘Maestro Cilik’ or Little Maestro
Is the first holistic arts program with Malay as its primary medium of instruction designed especially for young Malay talents.
The program’s primary objectives are threefold:
- providing young people with foundation training in multiple arts disciplines
- introducing various important techniques of showmanship in a fun learning environment
- fostering a deeper appreciation of the Malay language.
Maestro Cilik sets itself apart by focusing not only on the foundations of fine arts, music, dance and drama but also on the practical skills of putting together a successful performance such as music arrangement, video editing, stagecraft skills, creative writing and effective public speaking. Each academic year will end with an inter-disciplinary public performance put up entirely by the students.
